Rural Womens Day

In October 2024, the Orroroo community hosted a remarkable Rural Women’s Day event, organized by the 54 31 Collective.

The gathering attracted 250 women from various regions of South Australia, who traveled considerable distances to participate. The day’s agenda was rich and diverse, featuring media personality Rebecca Morse and influencer Kaitie Nash, known as the ‘First Time Farmer.’ Kaitie Nash served as a guest speaker and expressed her admiration for the event, stating, “The Orroroo community and what the 5431 Collective Team has created is pure magic. What a town, what a bunch of great people—really epitomises what rural communities are all about!”

The event not only showcased local produce and businesses but also ensured affordability and accessibility for all attendees. Its success was further recognized when it was awarded the Community Event of the Year during the Australia Day 2025 celebrations.

Kaitie Nash’s participation as a special guest and speaker added significant value to the event, inspiring many with her insights and experiences in the agricultural sector.
