Iโm Kaitie a city girl turned First Time Farmer based in Country NSW
I moved to my husbandโs family farm in 2018 with my two small babies, a positive attitude, and no idea what I was getting myself into. We started strong, moving in the middle of a drought, which was closely followed by a mouse plague. Then, when it did decide to rain, it didn’t stop.
Challenges have become a part of everyday life that I have chosen to embrace and loathe. My journey to where I am today has been up, down, and rough at times, but Iโm determined to continue embracing the failures with nothing but humour and authenticity, however messy they are.ย
Through sharing my personal story, from urban living to farm life, I stumbled upon my purpose and am now inspiring individuals as they embark on their First Time Farmer journey, by providing tools, mentorship and a sense of belonging to ensure a fulfilling rural lifestyle.ย
